Business Development Manager
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the IT services industry with consistent revenue closures
- Strong understanding of IT products, services, solutions, and the software development lifecycle
- Strong proficiency in cold calling, outbound sales, lead qualification, and opportunity conversion
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the company’s customer base
- Hands-on experience managing the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation and discovery to proposal, negotiation, closure, and post-sale follow-ups
- Working knowledge of AI tools relevant to the BDM role, including lead research, CRM and sales automation, proposal and pitch support, sales analytics, and forecasting
- Experience in planning, executing, and managing technology events, including pre-event strategy, on-ground execution, post-event lead nurturing, and deal closures
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote services and generate qualified leads
- Ability to develop and execute marketing and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing teams to support business growth
- Strong market research capability to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, pricing benchmarks, and new growth opportunities
- Experience working with international clients and engaging CXOs, founders, and senior decision-makers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a consultative and solution-oriented approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand client challenges and propose value-driven solutions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, pre-sales, product, and project management to deliver tailored client solutions
- Ability to monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline health, conversion ratios, and forecasts with actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
